What a friendly welcome we had at Horncliffe folk club recently!
Thank you to everyone who came and for the variety of floor spots – it was
super to hear old favourites of songs and tunes, and a delight to hear The
Dalesman’s Lament – my late husband Mike used to sing this (he was a
Yorkshireman) and it took me right back! We heard soulful Blues , evocative
Jazz, as well as plenty of folk music among the floor singers and players and
we really enjoyed them all.

We also had some lovely comments from the audience about our music and
the instruments – here are a couple of the comments received:

“Richly entertaining tunes shared with flair and passion” (Kevin & Tracey)
“Loved your sets and songs” (Heather)
“Everyone enjoyed the performance you and Sally gave last night. So glad
you could both come and entertain us”
(Keith)

….….and this week we’re off to the Recording studio again to get more tracks
recorded….

Our next couple of Gigs are not far away – a Lunchtime concert at The Eric
Liddell Centre in Edinburgh on Monday 6 th May at 12.30 and a concert on
Sunday 12th May as part of the St Mary’s @4 concert series at St Mary’s
Church, Haddington at 4pm. It would be lovely to see you there if you can
manage along.

Thanks for subscribing. We’ll keep you updated with our news but please also
keep and eye on our Gigs page!
