A wee reminder that we are next playing at Crieff Folk Club supporting the Alistair
McCulloch Trio on 27th February and if this is local to you,
please do come along. As always, we’d love to see you.
Our recent visit to Dunfermline Folk Club on 22nd January certainly brightened up this
cold and dark month for us, as we received a warm and friendly welcome and
thoroughly enjoyed the members joining in with our songs and tunes. This is a great
wee club and we encourage you to visit them in the Glen Tavern on a Wednesday
night if you get the chance.
We also asked for some feedback about our music, and received a lot of positive
verbal feedback on the night which was lovely. We also received the following two
emails after the gig, the first from Janet, the member of the Committee who booked
us, and the second from Sarah, a “newbie” to folk music. We really appreciated
receiving both:
From Janet:
“I just wanted to say a big Thankyou from all at Dunfermline Folk Club for coming
along and entertaining them so well, feedback was excellent. They thoroughly
enjoyed your set. I am so vexed that I couldn’t be there…. Keep us posted of
forthcoming gigs as I’d like to come see you . Hope to see you soon.”
From Sarah Evans:
“Thanks again for the lovely evening last week, just wanted to leave a review from
the Dunfermline night I’d be happy for you to use if helpful!
I’d highly recommend going to see Judy and Sally if you get the chance. I saw them
at a folk night in the Glen Tavern in Dunfermline and it was a really enjoyable,
relaxed evening. There were some stories, some laughs and most importantly some
great music. Being new to folk I loved that they would explain a bit about the tunes
before playing. I’d never heard the Scottish Smallpipes before but they sounded
great, as does Judy’s singing voice!”
